Research PhD project title: Physiological characterization of epileptogenic mutants of the mTOR pathway. The aim of my PhD project is to characterize epileptogenic mutants belonging to the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway by applying electrophysiological techniques, such as patch-clamp and multielectrode electrophysiology, as well as standard cell biology and biochemical approaches to model of DEPDC5 mutants and evaluate the physiological effects of these mutations.
